That's right..... Vox introduced groups, so we just had to make a BoVox group. I started inviting you fools, but it was going to take WAY too long to only invite 5 people at a time, so you guys can just deal with joining it yourself!
Please join us in the group. I envision that people will post questions, photos, or discussions about Boston to the group and other Bostonites can respond.

With the new Vox release, we can now make our own themes. We just updated ours to one that is hopefully more pleasing to BoVoxers. Thanks to Kelev T. Cat for the picture.

Guess what......
It's time for another bovox meetup! Hopefully the people who missed out last time can make this one instead! And of course, since I'm a Hahvahd Squayuh Lovuh, I am going to make it there! Until I get complaints urgent enough to convince me otherwise, I'll keep scheduling them there. Hope you guys can make it!
Being a food lover, this time we'll meet for dinner. Also, please RSVP so I can make reservations so we don't stand around in the cold.

So who's in?
Spreading holiday cheer,

The following question was posed to me and reesie by Team Vox.
How did y'all find other Boston Voxers?
So now I am passing down the question to you BoVoxers, with a couple of others. First, eventhough they say Boston Voxers, we all know this pretty much means all of Massacusetts. With that said, onto the questions.
-
Did you find other Voxers that you don't know in "real life" in the area before BoVox? How?
-
How did you find out about BoVox?
-
What interests you about BoVox?
I am hoping to suggest to Team Vox a meetup group registry so that new people in Vox can quickly find others in the community that are in their area. There are not alot of Vox meetup groups yet, but I think the numbers will increase as Team Vox continues to posting posts (duh!) regarding meetups.
Oh yeah, please provide responses in the comments.

Not-so-secret message from Anna:
Anyone who doesn't have family in the Boston area and no plans for Thanksgiving is welcome to have holiday dinner with my mother, brother and I. We always open our home to friends during holidays; plus, I spent many years far from family and holidays were better when spent with friends. This is a serious offer so don't be shy! Contact me through vox or aesteffner at gmail.com.

Our theme is finally up! Give a little love to Team Vox by giving them a comment on the release page.

BoVox'er Gordon will be performing at The Boston Conservatory's Seully Hall on Monday November 13th at 8pm.
See Gordon's blog entry for more details.
Hopefully some Vox'ers can attend. Click for directions.

We did it. We came, we met, we gave away free stuff. And no one got hurt. A serious Kodak moment.
Even though I hate the Vox uploader and the way they do photos, I uploaded all the photos like a good little girl. You can see them in our BoVox meetup collection. Of course, we only have one meetup so far, but soon we will have more than one!
It was very fun and many Voxers showed up.We even went around the table and introduced ourselves. If someone didn't know what to say, they talked about their favourite candy or their first concert (the very first one, not just the first one in Boston). Next time I will arrive with more icebreaker questions so we don't end up talking mostly about candy and music. Not that candy and music are bad things to talk about, but there are other cool things we could learn about each other for next time. Besides, I don't want people who attend future ones to prepare answers. I want to put people on the spot and make them think hard. Ok, maybe not too hard.
I know that you can see the photos in the collection, but I thought I'd just post a little collage here anyway for some visual stimulation. It's my entry, and I can cry do whatever I want! Until I figure out how to post raf's photos like this, I'll just leave you to go to the collection instead. I stole the two he took of me to put on flickr, but left the rest on vox.
[Update 2007.03.20: Flickr photos REMOVED.]
In any case, Raf, Gordon, Anna (oddly enough, I have zero pictures of her, but she exists I swear), Frank, and I went to dinner at Lê's (formerly Pho Pasteur) in the Garage. The conversation quickly degenerated into a vulgar discussion on mormons, among other things, that left our neighboring diners gagging with fright wishing they were us.
The wheels are turning, and I'm already planning the next one You knew you could count on me. I'll have to do me a little consultin' with the boys before I put anything in motion. Besides, who would plan this stuff if I wasn't around? Anyone? Bueller? I'm thinking about Friday, December 8th. Good? Bad? Completely apathetic? If I don't get opinions, I'll plan another Harvard Square meetup, so if you've got a problem with that, be sure to let me know.
You ever-so-fun BoVox planner,
